ABOUT POLLY

The Cup of Karma Project began in 1987 when Polly met a holy man while traveling on the midnight train to Copenhagen to Amsterdam. During that 15 hour ride through the night and into the next day, he shared with her the meaning of life as he knew it~ the most important thing we can ever experience in this lifetime is each other. She has been working to share these teachings and philosophy ever since.

Polly has traveled all over the world seeking story and connection but Martha’s Vineyard is where her soul resides year round. She comes from many generations of island folk who have lived their lives on the Vineyard. Gathering people together on this beautiful island to celebrate one another and now beyond the island has been a dream come true.

Polly holds an undergraduate degree in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Creative Writing from Drake University and a Masters in Education from Columbia University.

In June of 2023 at Riverside Church in NYC Polly was ordained as an Interfaith/Interspiritual minister. She is a devoted ceremonialist and loves helping others create ceremonies that are meaningful and mark pivotal times in their lives. She is a Death Doula and graduate of University of Vermont’s End of Life Doula program as well as a Reiki Master.

It is her hope that those who find their way to The Cup of Karma Project will be moved to appreciate and honor the people in their lives who they love and learn from in new ways that will manifest joy and meaning more deeply into the tapestry of their lives.

MOST IMPORTANTLY POLLY BELIEVES THE WORLD NEEDS MORE TIME TO PRACTICE GRATITUDE, RESPECT AND HONOR FOR EACH OTHER AND FOR THE INCREDIBLE HUMAN BOND WE ALL SHARE.
